Uniform - Longspee Primary
At Longspee Academy we consider uniform to be a very important aspect of school life and an indicator of a desire to set high standards.
It is expected that children will come to school appropriately dressed. School uniform is now compulsory and we are confident that parents/carers want their children to feel part of our community. Wearing school specific clothing helps this process.
Our policy for dress is designed to be:
- appropriate for school activities
- supportable by all concerned – parents, carers, pupils, staff and governors
- encouraging of community spirit and identity
- easily obtainable, maintainable and inexpensive
Uniform List:
There is a common list for boys and girls, appropriate for both summer and winter wear.
- Navy blue sweatshirt with the Longspee Academy logo or navy blue, crew neck jumper
- Navy blue fleece with the Longspee Academy logo
- Black or dark grey, tailored school trousers or school shorts, skirt and tights
- Black or navy joggers or black or navy jogger shorts
- Navy blue polo shirt or T-shirt
- Black school shoes or all black trainers
- P.E. Kit – plain, black, sports’ shorts, plain white T-shirt, trainers
- Hair – no extremes of hairstyle please. The school will respect genuine cultural and religious needs
Please make sure that ALL items of school clothing are marked with your child’s name and that all clothing is of a plain, solid colour with no pattern, wording or logos (other than the Longspee logo).
